As a sustainably focused community organization, The Eisaar Trust and Behbud Association, in Lahore, works to protect and improve human life through Health Care, Social Welfare activities and Education for less fortunate fellow Citizens. However, when the organization decided to power its buildings with renewable energy, it encountered challenges. The layouts and surface conditions of the Trust’s rooftops were not ideal for solar, making a standard installation costly and difficult.
Smart Home Solutions partnered to bring a flexible solar system to the rooftops of the Trust and Hospital. The system supplies 97 percent of the Trust’s energy needs and after the expansion will cover the TET/Behbud energy cost by more than Rs. 93,412,494 over the next two decades. Thanks to the solar installation, the organization is running smoothly with no power interruptions and are able to fulfil its primary function of helping the underprivileged earn a respectable living.
